Walkinshaw Performance has unveiled two new supercharged upgrades to the Holden VF Commodore and HSV Gen-F ranges.

The new set is headlined by the W497, which, as the name suggests, boasts a hefty 497kW and 955Nm of torque.

The W497 package is available for any HSV Gen-F sedan, wagon or ute model fitted with the 6.2 litre LS3 V8 engine.

The lesser (if only slightly) W457 package applies to any of Holden’s 6.0 litre V8 engines available in the VF Commodore range, offering 457kW and 780Nm.

Among the enhancements included with both the W457 and W497 packages are large high-flow injectors, a unique cold-air intake and the all-important WP230 supercharger package.

Other tweaks include a water-to-air intercooler package, upgraded exhaust system and a heavy-duty serpentine belt.

The hypo Walkinshaws also receive a full dyno-tune, W Series Certificate of Authenticity and Vehicle Identification along with a full driveline warranty for the balance of the manufacturer’s new vehicle warranty for eligible vehicles.

Announcing the packages today, Walkinshaw Performance General Manager Tony Harris highlighted the fact that the new W497 package is a full 200kW improvement on the HSV Z-Series Clubsport offered ten years ago.

“These packages represent the pinnacle of Australian automotive design and engineering capabilities,” Mr Harris said.

“On power figures alone it's impressive, but as we always say; drivability is the number one goal and we believe that these W Series twins are exceedingly well mannered in this key area. That said, it's hard to hide the performance results and these cars are guaranteed to bring a smile to the face of every motoring enthusiast."

The Walkinshaw Performance W457 and W497 supercharged packages are available now, priced at $18,990 which includes fitting.
