Volvo Concept ‘You’ Teased Further In New Promo Video

Volvo has given its upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show concept a name, and it is You. In this new teaser video released today, Volvo has also offered up a first look at the Concept You's muscular front-end.

Building on the look of its earlier Concept Universe project, the You video reveals a more production-focused face with full-LED headlights flanking a more traditional Volvo grille.

While the clip offers few useful details, Volvo announced earlier this week that it will reveal not only a new concept at Frankfurt, but also a new range of petrol and diesel four-cylinder engines. 

The new Volvo Environmental Architecture engines have been developed to significantly lower fuel consumption and carbon emissions. The engines have also been developed with a view to launching a range of hybrid models.

"We will develop four-cylinder engines with higher performance than today’s six-cylinder units and lower fuel consumption than the current four-cylinder generation," Volvo R&D chief Peter Mertens said.

"It's a bold step to restrict ourselves to four cylinders, but it gives us huge freedom and opportunities in achieving our CO2 targets.
