Volkswagen Amarok Canyon Makes Production Debut In Hanover

Volkswagen has unveiled a production version of its recent Amarok Canyon concept at this week’s IAA Commercial Vehicles Show in Hanover.

With styling and specs slanted at recreational use, the production Amarok Canyon Edition maintains the concept’s ‘Copper Orange’ paint scheme, gloss-black detail highlights and smoked tail-light lenses.

Also carried over from this year’s Geneva concept are the tubular side steps and tray-mounted sports bar, while the unpainted wheelarch extensions now carry a more subtle profile.

The concept’s 18-inch wheels and roof lamp bar are optional on the production model, along with a hard tray lid and silver, grey and beige exterior colour choices.

Gone are the concept’s lifted suspension and mud-terrain tyres, though this look and purpose could be easily replicated through the Amarok’s growing aftermarket support.
