Volkswagen Touareg Recalled For Potential Airbag Problems

Volkswagen is recalling its 2016 Touareg SUV this week, due to a potential problem with the side airbags.

The carmaker has identified a weakness in the airbag fabric, which may be able to tear when the airbag is deployed. 

Should the airbag tear upon deployment when needed during a collision, its effectiveness may be reduced which could increase the risk of injury to the vehicle occupants.

A specific range of Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) are included in the recall, with a total of 59 Touaregs on the list.
