Volkswagen Golf GTE: Plug-in Hybrid Performer Revealed

VOLKSWAGEN GTE REVEALED

Volkswagen has revealed a new variant in its growing Golf range, unveiling the first-ever ‘GTE’ model today.

Powered by a petrol-electric system, the GTE is officially a plug-in hybrid. Its debut makes it the fifth powertrain type in the Golf range, joining existing petrol, diesel, gas and full-electric models. (The latter two are not offered in Australia.)

As a ‘GT’ model, the GTE wears a sports styling pack, and packs an almost hot-hatch punch to go with it.
