Volkswagen will celebrate 30 years of Caddy sales with the launch of a special-edition variant at this year's Australian International Motor Show.
Dubbed Caddy Edition 30, the new special is based on the Caddy Trendline TDI320 people-mover, but adds a host of new features.
Features unique to the Edition 30 model include a gloss black roof panel, 17-inch 'Budapest' alloy wheels, twin halogen headlights with black housings, foglights, roof rails and painted bumpers.
'Edition 30' details are also featured on the dual sliding doors, door sills, and the very rear of the car.
In the cabin, there's two-tone Alcantara trim, a leather steering wheel and climate control.
Safety features include Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-pressure Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with Brake Assist (BA), driver and front passenger front, head and thorax airbags.
Power for the Edition 30 is provided by the same 103kW diesel engine driving the TDI320, combined with a six-speed DSG auto transmission for fuel consumption figures of 6.5 l/100km.
Pricing
The Caddy Edition 30 will go on sale at the Australian International Motor Show in October (19-28), with a driveaway price of $37,990.
