The Victorian Govenement has opened an electric vehicle charging hub in Melbourne's inner North, which will be free to use by electric vehicle owners for at least the next 12 months.

Built as part of the Victorian EV Trial, the charging hub is located in Coburg at the Moreland City Council office and features one fast-charger and two regular charging points, all supplied by ChargePoint

The fast-charger is capable of restoring a battery from nearly zero capacity to over 80 percent capacity in around 30 minutes, rather than the usual eight hours required by a charger supplied at mains voltage.
