Victoria's RACV has partnered with the Environment Protection Agency and a number of carmakers to announce the second annual GreenZone Drive.

Launching tomorrow, the RACV GreenZone Drive is an initiative developed to offer Victorians a chance to test-drive a range of low and 'zero' emission vehicles, following a route through Melbourne's CBD.

Over a dozen examples of the most fuel-efficienct vehicles available (and soon to be available) in Australia will be on hand, from the all-electric Mitsubishi i-MiEV and the upcoming Nissan Leaf, to the most miserly variants in the Audi A6 and Volvo XC60 ranges. 

Other vehicles available will include the Audi A1, the Renault Latitude, Honda's Insight hybrid and Jazz small car, and the Volvo V60.

On display only will be the upcoming Honda CR-Z sports hybrid and Volvo's C30 DRIVe.

The program's partners include RACV, Green Wheels and the Global Fuel Economy Initiative, along with Shell, Michelin, Better Place  and Murcotts. Participating carmakers include Audi, Honda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Renault and Volvo.
