Lovers of Japanese cars, rejoice: Victoria’s roads authority VicRoads is about to answer your pleas for a plate that fits your JDM baby.
The move to offer a Japanese-themed number plate follows the 2005 launch of the now popular Euro-style plate, followed later by the introduction of plates modelled on the US style.
Details are still to come, although the VicRoads offshoot ‘Custom Plates’ has today posted a poll on its Facebook page allowing fans to choose from one of four possible designs.
Each of the four plate designs features Japanese text alongside or above English letters and numerals - although VicRoads has used its regular slimline font instead of the quirky tall characters that appear on Japanese plates.
To have your say on which design will be put into production, jump through to the Custom Plates Facebook page.
