Triumph Australia has confirmed its retail pricing for two new 2012 models, the Tiger Explorer and Speed Triple R/ABS.

The Tiger Explorer is Triumph's first entry into the adventure touring sector and features an all-new 1215cc three-cylinder engine and shaft drive, ABS brakes, cruise control, and traction control. On sale from late May 2012, the Tiger Explorer is priced at $21,790 plus on-road costs.

Sport bike enthusiasts will be more interested in the 2012 Speed Triple R/ABS, a premium version of Triumph's standard Speed Triple.

Using the Speed Triple as its base, the R version uses higher-specification components to ‘up the ante’. There is a full complement (front and rear) of MotoGP developed Ohlins suspension, Brembo monoblock brakes including ABS as standard and lightweight forged aluminium wheels.

The ‘R’ also gets new colours and graphics to set it apart from the run of the mill Triple.

On sale from March 2012, the Speed Triple R is priced at $21,110 plus on-road costs.

Triumph Australia's Marketing Manager Mal Jarrett said that “Interest in the new models since their announcement in November 2011, has been unprecedented, with numerous deposits taken on them sight unseen!"
