Where most manufacturers tend to exaggerate a vehicle’s strengths when generating a SEMA concept, Toyota has done the exact opposite, taking the legendary off-roadable LandCruiser and stripping it of its rock-hopping ability.

Instead the Toyota Land Speed Cruiser ditches its standard US-market 5.7 litre V8 (the same as you’ll find in the Lexus LX 570 in Australia) and opts for a beefed up version, enhanced with a pair of Garrett turbochargers to boost power from 284kW to a more prodigious 1490kW.
