Toyota is planning an all-out assault on this month's Tokyo Motor Show, with confirmed unveilings already including the FCV sedan, Aqua G Sports hatch, JPN Taxi and a re-painted FT-86 Open.

Even better, the carmaker is also expected to unveil the first results of its sports-car collaboration with BMW, rumoured to preview a new Supra or a successor to the Lexus LFA supercar

Toyota has now added another showcar to its Tokyo roster, teasing the pirky, pink and compact Aqua Air roadster concept today.

This concept will join the Aqua G Sports concept in utilising the platform that underpins the light Prius C hatch, along with its hybrid powertrain.

Riding on the same 2500mm wheelbase as the Prius C, the Aqua Air is 10mm shorter at 3990mm but shares the same width measurements of 1690mm.

Don't let the sleek and stylised sketch fool you, though, as the Aqua Air is only 10mm shorter in height than the 1450 Prius C.

Power for the new roadster concept will be provided by a 1.5 litre petrol engine mated to an electric motor and a CVT transmission - meaning this little convertible is all about style rather than performance.

Watch for the Aqua Air to debut in Tokyo on November 22.
