Report: Toyota Retiring FJ Cruiser In 2014, Or Is An Update Coming?

Toyota may be about to cut the FJ Cruiser from its range. According to US website Autoblog, the FJ is to be discontinued "after the 2014 model year", its evidence for the claim being that the carmaker has placed a June 2014 deadline for final FJ orders on its fleet website.

Sliding sales figures in Canada and the US add some credence to the report, although there may be other entirely plausible explanations.

The deadline might also indicate that an updated FJ Cruiser is on the way, halting orders until the new model becomes available.
