Toyota has rolled out a tricked-out Corolla hatch this week, unveiling a stickered-up special for the Australian market.
Joining the recent Camry special of the same name, the new ‘Corolla RZ’ adds $2000 in features to the Ascent Sport trim grade for an extra $1000.
Styling for the limited-edition RZ brings a number of blacked-out items, including a black finish to the 16-inch alloys, grille, bumpers, mirrors and rear garnish.
There’s also an RZ-specific sticker pack, with graphics and badging adorning the front, rear and lower door edges.
Additional features with the Corolla RZ include satellite navigation with maps on the 6.1 inch display, along with a reversing camera and RZ-branded floor mats.
Existing standard features include six-speaker audio, cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity, air-conditioning and seatbelt alerts at all five seats.
There’s also seven airbags, vehicle stability and traction control, anti-lock braking and a 5-Star ANCAP safety rating.
Power in the Corolla RZ is provided by the same 103kW 1.8 litre four-cylinder petrol engine found in the Ascent Sport, matched to either a six-speed manual or a ‘seven-speed’ CVT auto with Sport mode.
All Corolla models are covered by the Toyota Service Advantage package, with $130 capped-price servicing for up to six scheduled logbook services in the first three years or 60,000km. Check with dealer for further details and conditions.
