Toyota Celica Back In Business?

Toyota may be looking to revive the Celica sports car, according to reports out of the US.

Car And Driver has unearthed a trademark application from the global carmaker, which seeks to lock down the Celica name once again.

Of course, Toyota may be simply looking to protect its territory and ensure no one else can use the Celica name, but the badge has been in the wilderness for many years.

A renewed interest in the Celica name suggests Toyota may be considering a new two-door coupe at the very least, but the carmaker has made no official announcements.

With the days counting down until the revival of the Supra, Toyota fans may be forgiven for showing some excitement for this trademark application.
