Toyota Australia has announced a recall of 19,099 of its current-model Camry, Camry Hybrid and Aurion cars, built between October 2011 and July 2012.

The recall comes in response to reports of a fuel hose that may have been incorrectly manufactured, leading to a wrinkle in the hose that could result in a fuel leak.

The carmaker said today that there have been three reports of this condition in Australia, although no accidents have been reported.

Affected owners are asked to contact a Toyota dealer to arrange an inspection. If necessary, a replacement hose is expected to take one hour to fit, at no cost to the owner.

Toyota will also contact owners by mail; affected owners can call 1800 643 242 for further details.
