The company has confirmed today that it is taking its supercharged and turbocharged coupe to this weekend's Goodwood Festival of Speed, where it will tackle the famous hill-climb event.
While we suspect the regular 86 would do just fine - if not at the level of the supercars that will be in attendance - the Sports FR's 235kW and 421Nm should make for a competitive outing.
Acceleration figures for the concept still have not been revealed. But perhaps a record of its performance at the event will be enough to sate the appetites of fans.
About the 86 Sports FR Concept
Along with its turbo- and supercharger enhanced heart, the Sports FR adds unique widebody styling, handling and aero bits. There are new guards at the front and rear, new bumpers and skirts, and a big fat wing on the rear deck.
Large 18-inch wheels prop up each corner, wrapped in 245/40 rubber at the front and 265/35 at the rear.
The usual accoutrement of features can be found inside, including a new steering wheel and a pair of racing bucket seats. The entertainment system has also been turfed to make room for the obligatory gauges.
