Subaru’s stand at next month’s Tokyo Auto Salon will feature seven cars - three of which are new concepts.
All of the new concepts have been given the STI treatment, and all are based on current Subaru models.
The first is called the STI Performance Concept (pictured), which is based on Subaru’s BRZ coupe.
The STI Performance is powered by Subaru’s 2.0 litre four-cylinder petrol engine, much like the regular BRZ, but fans will be pleased to learn the carmaker has added a turbocharger. Other additions include brake and suspension upgrades.
Subaru’s XV SUV lends itself to the next concept, called the XV Hybrid STI.
Aside from the STI sports pack, the XV concept scores a Quarts White Silica and orange exterior finish while the interior also uses orange; this time mixed with beige.
The final concept is the Levorg STI, which features 18-inch alloy wheels, STI suspension and a Blue Pearl paint finish.
Subaru fans can also expect to see the BRZ GT300 2016 and WRX STI NBR Challenge 2016 racers at the Tokyo Auto Salon, along with a WRX STI for the Japan Rally Championship and the CG Robot Racing 2016 BRZ.
The 2016 Tokyo Auto Salon kicks off on January 15. Stay tuned to TMR for more.
