The Week That Was: Subaru Outback & Liberty, BMW X6, Alfa Giulietta

Subaru’s all-new Liberty and Outback arrived in Australia this week, bringing new styling, improved economy and new standard features.

Each model arrives with some hefty price-cuts, with the Liberty 3.6R in particular $14,000 cheaper than before. 

The pair has scored highly in ANCAP crash safety testing, obtaining a score of 35.99 out of 37 under 2015 testing guidelines.

BMW’s second-generation X6 SUV is now on sale in Australia, following an international unveiling in June.

The German carmaker has invested much effort in improving fuel economy for the new model, with figures improving by between 14 and 22 percent for all variants.  

One petrol- and two diesel-powered variants are on sale now, with an additional two models to join the range early next year.
