The Hyundai Genesis for Australia was previewed this week, and we learnt that a V8-powered option won’t be available in local Hyundai dealerships.

Instead, Australian customers will get a 3.8 litre V6 with pricing expected to start below the $60,000 Luxury Car Tax threshold.

Hyundai also ruled out a move into V8 Supercars in Australia, and revealed that hire car sales for the Genesis will be a focus.

Details and pricing for the 2015 Australian Motoring Festival have been revealed, with a family ticket priced from $60, while an individual ticket will cost $30.

While those prices are higher than the defunct Australian International Motor Show, visitors will have the chance to test drive up to 100 new models.

The event will also showcase technical and 4WD demonstrations, while offering a much cheaper way for carmakers to display their new models than other motor shows.
