Tesla’s first SUV, the Model X, has officially launched in Australia.
The all-electric SUV with seven seats, the largest glass panoramic windscreen in production, falcon-wing doors, and more, is described by its maker as “the safest, quickest and most capable sport utility vehicle in history”.
With the battery pack located under the floor for a low centre of gravity, Tesla says the Model X is also one of the most stable SUVs on the market.
The Model X is yet to face safety testing from the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) but Tesla is confident of a strong result.
From launch, the Model X (as per the Model S upgrade) will be available to order in Australia in the new P100D with Ludicrous Mode, or customers can instead opt for 60D, 75D, 90D or P90D models.
