Volkswagen has confirmed its first large SUV will be called the Atlas - squashing earlier reports it would be called Teramont.
Perhaps that first name sprung from Volkswagen’s use of the letter ‘T’ for its SUVs - first the Touareg and then the Tiguan.
The all-new Volkswagen Atlas will be manufactured at Volkswagen’s plant in Chattanooga, Tennessee and is scheduled to debut on 27 October at a media launch in Santa Monica, California.
