Due in showrooms in the coming weeks, the system will include a 6.1 touch-screen display with the usual assortment of media connectivity.
The satellite navigation package includes maps from Garmin, along with the popular SUNA live traffic alert package.
Among the navigation system's featues are turn-by-turn instructions, street names, lane guidance, speed limits and current speed display, points of interest and a customisable menu.
Entertainment features include AM/FM/CD, iPod, USB and auxiliary connectivity, and an SD card slot.
Voice control options include the ability to activate and operate the navigation, entertainment and basic Bluetooth telephony functions.
The voice-activated navigation functions include Garmin's "One-Shot" address entry, allowing users to speak a full address rather than tapping it into the display.
"Suzuki owners can now, with the press of a button and a voice command, dial a phone number, tune into a radio station or locate an address without taking their hands off the wheel, or eyes off the road,” Suzuki Australia boss Tony Devers said.
The new system will be fitted as standard with the SX4 S model, and in Sport and Prestige variants of the Grand Vitara.
