Following the surfer-centric Concept M shown at Frankfurt earlier this year, Citroen has announced it will be putting the open-roofed C4 Cactus variant into production in the second quarter of 2016.

To be built in collaboration with electric vehicle manufacturer Bolloré, the new model is to be called the e-Méhari, providing an electric twist to Citroen’s original open-topped go-anywhere Méhari, built between 1968 and 1988.
