Subaru WRX STI Sets New Record On Isle Of Man TT Road Course: Video

UPDATE: A couple of days after this record was set, Higgins bettered it again with a new time of 19 minutes and 15 seconds.

Subaru’s new WRX STI has already set sales records here in Australia, and now it’s secured another title, this time on the road.

The carmaker announced in April that it would attempt to beat its own fast lap time at the famous Isle of Man - and the news is good.

At the hands of British rally champ Mark Higgins, holder of the previous record, the new WRX STI lapped the 59.54km course in 19 minutes and 26 seconds, beating the previous time of 19m56.7s.
