Subaru's new BRZ styling and handling pack is now available in Australia, following its local introduction as part of the carmaker's new dealership 'roadshow'.
Unveiled late last year, the BRZ S pack adds a set of lower and stiffer coil springs, a short-shift gear linkage for manual-equipped BRZs, a front suspension tower brace and a set of 17-inch lightweight alloy wheels.
Cosmetic parts include a front chin spoiler, side skirts, rear diffuser and bootlid spoiler. There's also a wheelnut set, STI gearknob and STI push-button starter.
Priced at $7995 including installation, the sports pack is available both as an optional extra on new models ordered online, and as a retrofit option for existing owners.
“All indications are that many BRZ buyers want to add some performance touches to their cars and choosing Subaru-backed equipment offers great design, quality and peace-of-mind that isn’t necessarily guaranteed by after-market suppliers," Subaru Australia boss Nick Senior said.
Other options available for the BRZ include GT sports stripes from boot to bonnet, a fuel-filler cap garnish, carbon-fibre styled instrument panel insert, carpet mats and a rear step panel, along with STI battery clamp, oil cap and valve cap set.
There's also availability of AVN satellite navigation, front and rear parking assist, and a reversing camera.
The BRZ has a drive-away price starting at $37,150 (depending on region), and is covered by a three-year/60,000 kilometre scheduled service plan.
