SsangYong has announced a range of deep price cuts to its current vehicle line-up, with savings of up to $6500 on previously listed driveaway pricing.
The seven-seater Stavic is now priced at $29,990 driveaway, a $6588 discount and positioning it as one of the most affordable people-movers in Australia.
The Stavic, while certainly polarising in its styling, is a well-equipped and large family 'bus'. It is also reasonably well-endowed with a 121kW and 340Nm 2.7 litre four-cylinder turbodiesel engine and fuel consumption is rated at 8.8 l/100km.
Standard equipment includes rear parking sensors, air-con and Electronic Stability Control.
SsangYong's seven-seat Rexton has also been discounted, down $5688 to a driveaway price of $34,990. The Rexton is powered by the same 121kW turbodiesel engine (9.2 l/100km in Rexton form), and features include cruise and climate control, and heated folding mirrors.
The Kyron 4WD is down $2201 to $28,990 driveaway. Powered by a 104kW/310Nm 2.0 litre diesel engine, the Kyron lists fuel consumption figures of 7.3 l/100km.
Among the Kyron's standard features are air-conditioning, electronic stability control and two airbags, with rear and side curtain airbags available as an option. It is also fitted with 18-inch alloy wheels and a chrome-tipped exhaust.
It should be noted that none of the above vehicles carry an ANCAP crash safety rating.
The Acyton Sports "Tradie Ute" is now available at $24,990 driveaway, while the Korando SUV stays at $27,990 but gains a five-year (up from three) / 100,000km warranty.
