The Chrysler Group's brand-new SRT Viper has debuted this week in the familiar GTS skin, decked out in the same deep blue finish and white speed stripes of past models.

Appearing at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance event, the limited-edition Viper GTS misses out on any power tweaks, but the paint and stripes - along with the polished five-spoke wheels - are unique to this trim package.

Inside, the 2013 SRT Viper GTS gets Black Laguna leather and contrasting stitching, an Alcantara headliner and satin-silver white bezels.

There's also a unique blue-backed version of the new 'Stryker' snake badge on the outside, and a unique build plate in the cabin.

“Designed with Viper loyalists in mind, the 2013 SRT Viper GTS Launch Edition model brings back the classic paint schemes that have adorned all previous Viper coupe launches to help us celebrate the return of our brand’s flagship performance machine to the supercar market,” SRT boss Ralph Gilles said.

Power remains unchanged, the Viper GTS powered by the regular model's meaty-enough aluminium V10 delivering 477kW and 812Nm of torque.

The same six-speed Tremec TR6060 manual transmission gets the big V10's power to the rear wheels of the Viper GTS.

US-market pricing details - and hopefully some acceleration figures, at last - will be revealed in the near future.

As with the regular Viper, don't expect to see this left-hand-drive-only coupe in Australia. Not officially, at least.
