Smart launched the ‘tailor made’ program by tuning specialist Brabus around five years ago, and now the all-new models are getting the individualist treatment for the first time.
The striking ‘lizard green’ is arguably the standout colour, while ‘darknight blue’ and ‘spring break orange’ are the alternatives.
But these are by no means the only shades available, with a palate of “thousands of different colours” on offer through Brabus along with 30 different styles of leather for the interior.
Leather hugs the steering wheel, seats and dash, and can be matched with yet more colour choices for the instrument cluster, infotainment system surrounds, air vents and more.
Outside, there’s a number of tailor made packages to choose from or buyers can mix and match options to suit their own preferences.
Features include a Brabus front spoiler, side skirts, 16-inch alloy wheels and roof spoiler, along with a rear diffuser for the optional Brabus sports exhaust system.
More than 60,000 Smart customers have chosen the Brabus Tailor Made treatment for their cars since the program was launched, with availability now extending from Europe to the US and China.
The regular Smart ForTwo and ForFour are both in the running for the European Car Of The Year award, with an announcement expected in Geneva very soon.
The pair are under consideration for an Australian launch, but we don’t expect the Brabus options to be available to Australian buyers if and when they arrive in local showrooms.
