Skoda has handed down a sharp teaser sketch today, hinting at a sleek new concept bound for next month's Geneva Motor Show.
Dubbed 'VisionC' - one letter back from the Octavia-previewing 2011 VisionD concept - the new showcar will see the Czech brand move into the fast four-door (or five-door, in true Skoda fashion) coupe arena.
Skoda describes the coming concept as a "dynamic and elegant five-door coupe that shows the possibility of innovative body concepts".
There's little innovation in the sketch above, but certainly it could represent a big step toward a new era of desirability for the Skoda brand.
The passenger-ready coupe look is a familiar formula for the Volkswagen Group, with the VW Passat CC and Audi's Sportback models toeing a similar line.
Skoda's new concept boasts a small and low-slung glasshouse, tall belt-line with a deeply sculpted character line, and a sharp new Seat-like headlight design at the front.
Little else has been revealed for now, so stay tuned for more details and images to follow in the coming weeks.
