Skoda has revealed a sharp new look at the future, unveiling its new VisionC concept at this week's Geneva Motor Show.

Evolving the tight lines that make up the Czech brand’s new styling language, the VisionC hints at a possible ‘five-door-coupe’ flagship model.

The passenger-ready coupe look is a familiar formula for the Volkswagen Group, with the VW Passat CC and Audi's Sportback models toeing a similar line.

For the Geneva show, the VisionC merges Skoda’s familiar new look with slender headlights and hooked tail-lights, along with a flowing roof, deep character lines and flared guards.

The green hue is an obvious nod to the company’s branding, but also to the concept’s Compressed Natural Gas-powered 1.4 litre turbocharged petrol engine.

But, despite its speedy looks, the VisionC’s small engine produces just 81kW - enough to get around, but you won’t be winning any drag races.

Little else about the VisionC has been revealed, other than to confirm that this midsized hatch/sedan/coupe will not be going into production anytime soon - although reports suggest we could see a 2016 debut. (Which is it, Skoda?)
