Skoda will soon reopen its museum in December, following extensive renovations to the Mladá Boleslav facility.

Located at the company’s worldwide headquarters in the Czech Republic, Skoda has operated the museum for the past 15 years, where it has hosted more than 1.5 million visitors.

The Czech brand recently unveiled its plans for the rejuvenated facility, which will boast 1800 square metres of display area and over 45 vehicles.

The facility will also display motorcycles and bicycles from the company’s past, which dates back to the late 1800s.

"Skoda's rich past will not only be presented in depth in the new museum, but also brought to life in an emotional way for the first time," Museum director Margit Adamová ÄŒerná said.

Vehicles and exhibits will be rotated regularly at the museum, providing an incentive for visitors to return.

The museum will be divided into three main areas; ‘Tradition’, ‘Evolution’ and ‘Production’, with the aim of giving visitors an understanding of the company’s heritage and evolution, along with a ‘behind the scenes’ element for vehicles under restoration.
