Skoda's roomy Roomster has been given the heave-ho in Australia this week, a few months shy of hitting two years (in its second go) on the local market.
But, despite the enhancements and pencil sharpening, Skoda moved just 102 Roomsters in 2013. In January this year, only three were sold, compared with eight in the same period last year.
So, once more, it's goodbye Roomster. (A shame it couldn't find sales, because it's a genuinely good car. We gave it four starts in our launch review last year - Ed.)
Skoda Australia has yet to announce the Roomster's retirement, but the truth was revealed today by the minivan's absence from the company's new Capped Price Servicing table.
Speaking with TMR today, Skoda Australia's Kurt McGuinness confirmed that while there may be some stock left with dealers, the Roomster is no longer being sourced for Australia.
The model has also been removed from the carmaker's customer website in Australia.
