Czech brand Skoda has revealed a new high-po roadster concept with pumped guards, cutaway roof and a visual six-pack that adds serious muscle to the Fabia RS hatch tucked somewhere underneath.
Built as a one-off offering for the Worthersee Tour, the RS 2000 design concept draws its inspiration from the rally-spec Fabia RS 2000 champion.
“The jubilee year of 2011 is a welcome opportunity for us to show off our sports models and make sure that everyone knows that Skoda really has something to offer here,” Skoda boss Winfried Vahland said
Power and engine details haven't been revealed, although it is likely that the concept features the same enhanced 2.0 litre turbocharged four-cylinder driving the rally model.
While the RS 2000 Roadster is unlikely to ever see the light of a showroom, the regular Fabia range is expected to make its Australian debut around mid-year, possibly as soon as next month.
