From 2016 European buyers will be offered an additional variant of Skoda’s compact Fabia Combi wagon.

Dubbed the ScoutLine, a series of SUV-like styling elements give the Fabia a visual boost, similar to the ScoutLine package available on the Rapid small hatch overseas.

Unlike the Octavia Scout however, the ScoutLine pack stops short of adding AWD.

Instead the Fabia ScoutLine dresses up with raised suspension, and matte black plastic cladding on the sills, bumpers and wheel arches.

Reflex silver accents adorn the bumpers, mirrors, and roof rails, and a choice of 16- or 17-inch alloy wheels complete the picture

The ScoutLine package can be paired with any of the Fabia’s engines, which in Europe include 66kW and 77kW 1.4 litre diesel four cylinders, a 55kW three-cylinder petrol, and the 66kW and 81kW four-cylinder petrol options available in Australia.

And, speaking of Australia… The chances of seeing the ScoutLine here seem pretty slim.

The previous generation Fabia Scout never made the journey to these shores, and the new version is likely to stay the same owing to the already slim sales for the tiny wagon.
