Volvo's S60 Performance Concept, developed by racing partner Polestar, could be on its way to a limited production run, according to new reports this week.
Built as a showcar to show off the brands' capabilities, the Performance Concept is owned by a private customer who is understood to have paid around $300,000 for the privilege.
According to Britain's Autocar magazine, a strong response from would-be buyers has got Volvo and Polestar considering a limited production run for the S60 PC.
The report adds that the cars would still be quite expensive, entering in the vicinity of AU$150,000 - around three times the UK-market price of BMW's M3 performer.
That's big money, but with buyers apparently ready to put down the huge sum of the current car - and with a 380kW/575Nm all-wheel-drive 3.5 second 0-100km/h beast up for grabs - it might not be as hard a sell as it seems.
