The Jeep Renegade's micro-Wrangler styling may not be to everyone's tastes, but as this fan rendering shows the shape has the potential to translate well into sporty(ish) offering.

Russian graphic artist X-Tomi Design has taken the tiny Renegade, bolted on some big n' shiny virtual wheels and grafted on the lower front bumper from the Grand Cherokee SRT8 to create this interpretation of an SRT-tuned Renegade.

Whether the Renegade will ever receive such treatment in real life is doubtful, but that could just depend on what engines Jeep is able to slip into the Renegade's Fiat-derived chassis.

Right now an 81kW/152Nm 1.6 litre petrol four, Fiat's 125kW/250Nm 1.4 MultiAir 2 and the 137kW/236Nm 2.4 litre MultiAir 2 'Tigershark' engine have been confirmed for the Renegade range, with a 2.0 litre diesel destined for European markets.
