A topless version of Merc’s new AMG GT hero coupe is believed to be in the works, and these new renderings offer a clear look at what we might expect.
Unveiled last week, the new AMG GT will initially be offered exclusively as a coupe. But, like the SLS it replaces, a convertible version appears likely.
Produced by independent artists X-Tomi and Design RM, these new renderings demonstrate a convincingly complete idea of how the GT could be transformed into a cabriolet.
As with most convertible variants, buyers could also expect the roadster to attract a premium over the anticipated $250,000 price range of the coupe in Australia.
Still, the AMG GT Roadster remains unconfirmed - and with sleek convertibles like the SL-Class and an expected S-Class convertible - Mercedes is at risk of diluting its line-up.
Expect more talk of a topless AMG GT to surface in the months ahead.
