Renault has joined the ranks of automakers displaying visions of an autonomous future, showcasing the Symbioz concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show, presented not just as a future mode of transportation, but instead rethinking how the car of the future might integrate with the house of the future.

Rather than the usual turntable display stand, Renault has instead presented the Symbioz within the setting of a custom-built house designed to indicate how the electric autonomous concept might work as a contributing piece of furniture, capable of powering the home during blackouts, or to keep peak power bills down.
