Renault has released a new video of its one-off Alpine A110-50 concept, starring racing legend Jean Ragnotti.
Starting at the fictional movie-like Renault Alpine development centre, the video takes the viewer through time, as today's Ragnotti imagines his younger self in in the same situation.
The clip climaxes with the older Ragnotti at full throttle in the A110-50 concept, battling the younger in the original A110. Check it out below.
About the A110-50 Concept
Based on Renault's earlier all-electric DeZir concept and the Megane Trophy race car, the A110-50 is powered by a mid-rear mounted Nissan 3.5 litre petrol V6.
Producing 300kW at 7200rpm and 422Nm at 6200rpm, the big six sends power to the rear wheels through a semi-auto six-speed sequential transmission and a limited-slip diff.
Don't expect to see the A110-50 on the open road anytime soon, but if recent reports are anything to go by, we could yet see the Alpine name in showrooms sometime this decade.
