The new Sport Way Limited Edition model brings an exclusive interior with black leather and red stitching, crimson highlights around the centre console and aluminium accents elsewhere.
A high-definition rear-view camera is standard, as are heated front seats and the same premium BOSE audio system found in the aptly-named Koleos Bose model.
Outside, the Sport Way features a black metallic paint finish and 18-inch alloy wheels; previously only available on the range-topping Koleos.
The Sport Way is based on the mid-range Bose model, sitting between the entry-level Expression and top-spec Privilege variants.
While the new model carries a $1500 premium over the equivalent Bose, Renault says the Sport Way offers over $2300 in extra value.
The Sport Way is only available as a two-wheel-drive, matched with either a 2.5 litre petrol or 2.0 litre diesel four-cylinder engine.
The petrol engine develops 126kW/226Nm in the equivalent Bose model, returning 9.3 l/100km and matched with a Constantly Variable Transmission.
The diesel unit is good for 127kW and 360Nm, matched to a six-speed automatic with a fuel figure of 7.0 l/100km.
“We’re excited to be launching the Koleos Sport Way Limited Edition in Australia and we’re actually the first market to go on sale with this product,” Managing Director Renault Australia, Justin Hocevar, said.
“The Renault Koleos competes in one of the most crowded market segments in Australia and we are thrilled to be able to offer this limited edition product for customers who want a sportier looking medium SUV.”
The Sport Way comes with Renault’s five-year, unlimited kilometre warranty and $299 capped-price servicing for the first three scheduled services.
The 2014 Renault Koleos Sport Way Limited Edition is on sale now, priced from $37,490 for the petrol model and $39,490 for the diesel, plus on-road costs.
