RENAULT CLIO GT AUSTRALIA
The new model may not pack as big a punch, but Renault expects its $25,290 price tag to draw buyers that want the look and don’t need the $28,790 RS model’s performance.
Opting for the style-boosted Clio will get you 17-inch wheels and a unique sports body-kit, along with twin exhaust tips, tinted windows and GT badging.
The GT will also be offered with the exclusive ‘Malta Blue’ colour option - a shade normally reserved for Gordini specials - and chequered roof graphics can be added for $490.
Inside, you’ll find a leather sports steering wheel, gearshift paddles, GT-emblazoned and better bolstered sports seats, while the dash gets grey trim highlights and a speckled finish.
Power in the Clio GT is provided by the same 88kW/190Nm 1.2 litre turbo petrol engine offered elsewhere in the Clio range, and Renault claims a 0-100km/h time of 9.4 seconds.

The new variant has also been gifted with a Renault Sport-tuned chassis, promising a firmer and more dynamic ride.
Renault says the Clio GT chassis’ springs are five percent stiffer compared to the standard Clio range.
Likewise, damping forces are increased 50 percent at the front, and 40 percent at the rear.
The EDC transmission is also set with the multi-mode RS Drive control, allowing pilots to adjust settings for the power steering, accelerator and transmission.
Fuel consumption with the Clio GT is listed at 5.2 l/100km, with CO2 emissions rated at 120g/km.
The new Clio GT has a five-year/unlimited kilometre warranty and is eligible for Renault’s Capped Price Servicing program of just $299 per calendar year for the first three years.
