Set for its official world debut at this weekend's Monaco F1 Grand Prix, the so-called A110-50 concept marks the 50th anniversary of the original Alpine A110.

While the new concept's styling is largely drawn from the look of the 2010 DeZir concept, Renault has added more than a few styling tweaks and enhancements.

The standout changes at the front include the circular intakes in the bonnet and bumper - a clear nod to the A110's fog lights - a slim new headlight and 'grille' design, and a huge air dam and bonnet vent combo.

The concept's rear is dominated by a long and tall louvered grille and a massive diffuser.

Unlike the ultra-green all-electric DeZir, the new Alpina flies full-throttle in the opposite direction, its petrol engine producing around 300kW.

With the new concept still to be official revealed, full technical details have yet to surface. Some reports describe a boosted and mid-mounted version of Nissan's 3.5 litre V6 as the car's power source.

We'll know more in the coming days.
