Revived British brand Lister has released artwork for a new hypercar it hopes to introduce in the coming years.

The would-be world-beater exists only as a concept for now - and only on paper at that - but the carmaker says it is now hunting for investors to make the unnamed hypercar a reality.

"Over the coming years our ambitions are to create a world beating brand new Hypercar with a list price of somewhere in the region of £2million," Lister boss Lawrence Whittaker said.

"We are currently seeking external investors that have the desire to join us on what promises to be an incredible journey, because if we proceed with our ambitious plans, it is fundamental that the entire project is sufficiently resourced in order to deliver a serious, world-beating new product.”

To earn that title, the Lister coupe would need to outperform models like the Ferrari LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and Porsche 918, not to mention the Pagani Huayra, the outgoing Bugatti Veyron and the recently revealed Trion Nemesis.

The Lister brand last saw action with the Jaguar-powered Storm supercar in the early 90s and in motorsport form in the 2000s, although the brand has also recently relaunched the Jaguar D-Type inspired ‘Knobbly’ racer.
