Land Rover will reportedly use September's Frankfurt Auto Show to unveil two new powertrains for its Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models.

A new diesel-electric V6 hybrid is expected at the show, along with a conventional V8 turbodiesel. The new engines are expected to be available in Europe by the end of this year.

Speaking with CarSales, Land Rover’s Stuart Frith also confirmed plans for a turbocharged four-cylinder engine at a later stage, thanks to the significant weight reduction achieved with the new Range Rover models.
