Land Rover has boosted the appeal of its Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models this week, introducing new features and improved economy.

A new ‘All-Terrain Progress Control’ (ATPC) system is now available, which acts as an off-road cruise control.

Drivers set the system to travel at speeds between two and 30km/h over whichever surface is beneath their Range Rover at the time, and ATPC maintains the steady pace by controlling both throttle and brake applications.

The system harnesses wheel-spin occasionally associated with climbing steep gravel hills, and Land Rover says ATPC ensures even a ‘novice’ off-roader can take advantage of the Range Rover’s capabilities.
