RAM Trucks, under Australian distributor American Special Vehicles, has issued a recall in Australia for its 2500 and 3500 model pickups.

Vehicles with conventional incandescent globes will usually show signs of a blown indicator globe to drivers as the remaining globes flash at a faster-than-normal rate when the indicator is applied.

RAM is concerned that its pickups will not display this behaviour, meaning drivers could potentially operate their vehicles without functioning indicator globes for extended periods.

Failed indicator globes could pose a hazard to the vehicle occupants and other road users.

RAM Trucks will attempt to contact affected owners when the necessary parts become available. At that point, owners will be invited to book their vehicles for inspection and repair at no cost.
