Powerkit And Aero Enhancements Join 911 ‘Porsche Exclusive’ Range

The list of iterations and options for Porsche’s new-generation 911 continues to grow, with the launch of new power and aerodynamic enhancements under the ‘Porsche Exclusive’ range.

Buyers of the Carrera S can now choose the ‘Powerkit’ option, which includes the Sport Chrono package along with uprated cylinder heads, camshafts, intake and exhaust, and cooling system.

Available with both manual and PDK transmissions, the Powerkit pack lifts the 3.8 litre flat six’s output 20kW to 316kW, but more significantly drops the 0-100km time by 0.3 seconds to just 4.0 seconds in PDK guise.

Powerkit was first seen on the ultra-limited Club Coupe announced recently, but the option can now be had on all new Carrera S models. 

Vehicles fitted with the Powerkit will be identified by a titanium-coloured engine cover and distinctive twin exhaust outlets.

Despite the increase in output and performance potential, Porsche claims that there is no change in fuel consumption – officially 8.7l/100km for Australian models.

Those looking to set their new 911 apart visually, can now choose from a range of Porsche Exclusive aerodynamic enhancements.

New options include a more aggressive front apron, classically-styled ducktail spoiler, and the top-level Aerokit Cup – comprised of a GT3-esque front apron and fixed rear wing.

These visual and performance options are sure to appease some buyers who can’t wait for the upcoming GT3, Targa, Turbo and all-wheel-drive models – all due over the next couple of years.
