The fastest, most powerful model in the Porsche Panamera range has just been revealed to the world, and now it's on sale in Australia.
Priced from $440,200, the Panamera Turbo S builds on the popular Turbo model by squeezing another 37kW out of its 4.8 litre twin-turbo V8 engine, delivering 410kW in S form.
Torque is up too, jumping from 700 to 750Nm. Switch the driving mode to Sport or Sport Plus, and the Panamera Turbo S' overboost function sees torque climb to 800Nm.
As you'd expect, the Turbo S' extra power is reflected in the four-door super-saloon's acceleration, rocketing to 100km/h in 3.8 seconds - compared to the regular Turbo model's 4.2 seconds.
Fuel consumption is rated at 11.3 l/100km when fitted with the optional 19-inch all-season Michelin tyres, optimised to deliver low rolling resistance.
Among the Turbo S' driving aids are Porsche's active roll stabilisation system (PDCC), variable torque split courtesy of the PTV Plus system, Servotronic steering, along with engine and suspension settings managed by the Sport Chrono Package.
On the styling front, the Turbo S is largely identical to its regular Turbo sibling, although it gains 20-inch Turbo II wheels with an increased rear axle track width, along with side skirts from the Porsche Exclusive range and an adaptive extending four-way rear spoiler.
Inside, the new combination of black/cream leather is offered exclusively for this model with agate grey/cream also being added as an exclusive combination later in the year.
