Porsche has announced new ‘Co-Pilot’ and ‘Pilot’ programs at its Leipzig test track in Germany, offering visitors the chance to ride shotgun, or even drive a selection of Porsche models in anger.

The Leipzig tarmac circuit combines several replications of famous corners from circuits around the world, including the Suzuka ‘S’, Monza ‘Parabolica’, Monaco ‘Bus Stop’, and the Laguna Seca ‘Corkscrew’.

Priced from just €98 ($AU122) for a passenger ride in the Cayenne Turbo SUV, punters can also be thrilled by a professional instructor aboard a Panamera saloon (€125/$AU156), 911 coupe (€155/$AU193), or 911 GT3 Cup racer (€210/$AU262).

If you prefer your Porsches from behind the steering wheel, the Cayenne, Panamera, Boxster, Cayman or 911 can be yours briefly from €270 ($AU336).

A combined Cayenne, Boxster or Cayman and 911 package is also available for €420 ($AU523).

If you’re one of the few wishing to explore the Cayenne’s off-road performance, Porsche is also offering experiences at the adjoining off-road test track for (€135/$AU168) as a passenger, or (€270/$AU336) for a self-driven experience.

All track experiences are offered with a tour of the adjacent Leipzig factory that produces the Cayenne and Panamera models and, soon, the Macan SUV.
